Yonne 24, «land of exploits» is above all a reality: Yonne is a land of treasures, fruit of a unique natural and cultural heritage that we wish to share with all the curious, the passionate, the lovers of a certain art of living where high standards, well-being and generosity mingle.
Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games are an opportunity for Yonne, a neighbour department of Île-de-France, to highlight its strengths. A great showcase to tell the world to come to us, come and visit our territory, come to settle down, come to breathe!
Eager to participate in the success of this global event that will bring together athletes and spectators from all origins, Yonne has applied for the label «Terre des Jeux» delivered by the Organizing Committee of the Paris Olympic Games and to receive the Olympic torch relay. With this double Olympic recognition, Yonne intends to stimulate a new impetus throughout the Department by creating a territorial brand with the goal of enhancing our DNA. Economy, culture, history, heritage, gastronomy, landscapes… our identity is strong.
Yonne 24 is the boldness to highlight our wealth and know-how by bringing together all Yonne’s living forces – communities, businesses, associations – around the Olympic values of friendship, respect and excellence, and around the Paralympic values of determination, equality, inspiration and courage. The creation of Yonne 24’s Partners Club is part of a partnership and ambitious approach to promote the territories, events, companies and products of Yonne ! It is the will to ecourage a logic of common projects, through consultation and mutual assistance in order to promote and share Yonne’s excellence and to make it shine.

Today, Yonne has 66% of agricultural land dedicated to the cultivation of vines, cereals, fruits and vegetables as well as cattle, poultry, pigs and, of course, the famous snails of Burgundy. But it is especially the wines of Yonne that make it famous all over the world. The production of Chablis alone represents 72% of Yonne’s vineyard and 19% of Burgundy vineyard (about 34.3 million bottles per year).
Yonne is also an industrial region with 2202 industrial establishments, 47 of which have foreign capital.
