TCC : Auxerre area has a real potential
Specialist in industrial logistics, the real estate development giant TCC (TRAMMELL CROW COMPANY) has just set its sights for the first time in France. Already established in Belgium, the American group has chosen the Yonne’s capital city to acquire nearly eleven hectares of land in the activity area in the north of the city. An investment of €5.9 million, including taxes, that will enable to host companies working in distribution, industry and logistics sectors.
It is moving around “AuxR_Parc” activity area! With excellent news: the purchase of nearly eleven hectares of land by the heavyweight of property development from the US in order to develop business there… as soon as 2023?
A pretty penny sum of about 6 million euros
Looking for some time at different European destinations (Spain, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, etc.), the American group TCC – acronym for TRAMMELL CROW COMPANY – has expressed its desire to settle in France, wishing to make business grow there, like in Belgium, for this professional real estate developer. The companies concerned are specifically involved in the fields of industry, distribution and logistics.
Thus, the American group has just spent the pretty penny sum of 5,9 million euros including tax to invest in Auxerre area to buy nearly eleven hectares of plots of land. This is a good example of the attractiveness of Burgundy’s northern basin for international structures.
Created in 1948, the American entity – subsidiary of CRBE Group, a real estate and land giant headquartered in Dallas – has acquired since its origins the “trifle” of 2,900 buildings valued at US$75 billion and more than 665 million square metres designed to host economic actors.
45,000 m2 of buildings with solar panels…
Those who offer activities in distribution, logistics and industry – as we already said! – but also in health, life sciences and even office projects. The structure, which currently has more than 700 employees, generates nearly $20 billion in implementation phase projects!
Recently, alongside the president and mayor of Auxerre region, Crescent MARAULT but also of Magloire SIOPATHIS, Departmental Councillor and Mayor of Appoigny and Nordine BOUCHROU, Urban Planning Assistant for the City of Auxerre, TCC’s Director General and Head of European Logistics, Ian WORBOYS, signed three promises to buy approximately 109,000 m2 of land sold, thus making this vast land project a reality.
In fact three buildings – a total of 45,000 m2 – should rise from the ground to accommodate several businesses in the months to come. All buildings will be equipped with solar panels and will meet the quality standards of the international certification, BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Assessment Method).
A British reference that allows to evaluate the environmental performance of buildings and guarantees their limited impact in Co2. Virtuous criteria to protect the quality of life of local population.
